New Music Intelligence is coming! More instruments, more fun!

March 30th, 2018

Music Intelligence course is a great foundation course for the young children. It aims to develop a real “musical” child. The course applies Dalcroze Eurhythmics methodology, uses Orff percussion instruments, Ukulele and piano, in a form of different games to develop ‘a consciousness of bodily rhythm’ and the need to strengthen communication between the senses, the muscles and the mind. Children will be learning steady beat, rhythmic patterns, basic music theory (ex. high and low, fast and slow, legato and staccato, forte and piano, etc) through eurhythmics experiences. It is the total absorption of mind, body and emotions in the experience of actualizing the musical sounds. Children imagine their body as the instrument and they sense the excitement of being the interpreter, the performer and the listener all at the same time. It is a lot easier for the children to pusure their learning at performing arts after the completion of the whole curriculum - they can adapt quicker when they move to private instrumental course, vocal, dance, or musical theatre (many iStage students follow this path).
